  • + April 13th (Monday)
    --> 10:30 a.m. next Women's Bible study at Trinity Presbyterian Church. All women are welcome. (This ministry normally happens on the second Monday of each month.)
    --> 5:30 p.m. - Bible study group continues down in Dingerville - at 5813 Pacific Heights Road, meeting in the clubhouse. Talk to Bridget Magliocca if you have any questions. It's open to anyone. Come and be blessed!

    + April 14th (Tuesday) 
    --> 9:00 a.m. next Trustees' meeting at First Congregational Church
    --> 12:00 p.m. Cooperating Chrisitan Churches of Oroville (CCCO) meeting at St. Paul's Episcopal Church
    --> 4:00 p.m. Worship & Music team meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church

    April 15th (Wednesday) - 2:00 p.m. New Bible study begins, led by Dr. Stan Henderson on Philippians. Everyone is welcome! As usual, it will be in Henderson Hall at Trinity Presbyterian Church. This will be the first of seven sessions.

    + April 18th (Saturday) - 6:00 PM John Paris & Friends Concerto at First Congregational Church. Suggested donation: $15. Proceeds will be divided three ways between the church, the performers, and the Northwest SPCA. John Paris is a renowned pianist and entertainer. He'll be joined by Glenn Dawson (a popular local guitarist) and Dr. Ayke Agus (a world-class violinist). 

    + April 19th (3rd Sunday of Eastertide) - Dr. Stan Henderson will be preaching in all three Sunday services. Also, in the morning service at Trinity Presbyterian Church we'll be joined by a work team from Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church of Livonia, Michigan. They'll be staying in Henderson Hall through the week while doing work in our community. It's another great ministry of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). Also, the combined music teams of both churches will be singing in both of the services - which is the quarterly routine now. And... there will be a potluck lunch after worship at Trinty!

    + April 20th to the 30th (Monday through Friday, for two weeks) - Be aware that I'll be on hospice chaplain duty in the Sacramento area during this time, so I won't be available for some of my normal weekday ministry activities. Of course I still plan to be around for the Sunday services - as usual. I'll also be accessible by phone as I normally am.

    + April 21st (Tuesday)
    --> 10:30 a.m. Deacons' meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church
    --> 4:00 p.m. Session meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church

    + April 22nd (Wednesday) - 5:30 p.m. Next Community Widows' Connection (CWC) planning meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church

    + April 24th-25th (Friday & Saturday) - Sierra Vista Community Church (a dual-affilated Presbyterian- UCC congregation in Sacramento) will be hosting a racial justice conference - going from Friday evening well into the day on Saturday. Let me know if you're interested in going and I'll get you some more information.

    + April 26th (4th Sunday of Eastertide) - There will be a goal-setting session at 12:20 p.m. at First Congregational Church. This will be the third and final one. 

    + April 27th (Monday) - 10:00 a.m. Church Council/Diaconate meeting at First Congregational Church. This is the main leadership body of the church; it meets quarterly.

    + May 2nd (Saturday) - North Central California Presbytery (NCCP) meeting at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Yuba City. This convening of Presbyterian governance happens quarterly. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. Please let me or the Rev. Grace Suwabe know if you're interested in going. It's a great opportunity to connect with the regional family of churches.

    + May 4th (Monday) - 6:00 PM Chapel service at the Oroville Rescue Mission. Donations are welcome! Leave them at either church, and I'll deliver them when I go down there. Everyone is welcome to attend the service as well.

    + May 7th (Thursday) - 6:00 PM next Vacation Bible School planning meeting at First Congregational Church, in the Faith Boardman Drobish Chapel. 

    + May 9th (Saturday) - The Community Widows' Connection (CWC) ministry will have a table at the Feather Fiesta Days, starting at 9:00 a.m.

    + May 10th (6th Sunday of Eastertide) - Mothers' Day! Be good to your mother.

    + May 14th (Thursday) - 7:00 PM Ascension Day worship, sponsored by the CCCO - at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Dr. Stan Henderson will be preaching.

    + May 17th (7th Sunday of Eastertide) - 12:20 p.m. Annual meeting at First Congregational Church - right after lunch in the social hall.
